Trinity Mother Frances Health System Teams


TYLER,TX— On Thursday, March 30, 2006, Trinity Mother Frances Heart Institute will host, along with OR Live, the first ever-live broadcast of the Magnetic-assisted Electrophysiology Mapping and Ablation procedure in their Stereotaxis cardiac cath lab. The broadcast will feature the treatment of cardiac arrhythmia, the world’s most common heart rhythm disorder.

Peter Cheung, MD and Stan Weiner, MD of Tyler Cardiovascular Consultants with Trinity Mother Frances Health System are two of the electrophysiologists on the forefront of this world-class technology.

This diagnostic and ablation catheter recently received FDA approval with the Stereotaxis Niobe® Magnetic Navigation System. This new catheter offers physicians precise and efficient control of the catheter tip with constant feedback as to the exact location of the catheter in the anatomy. The new FDA approval builds with an existing approval using the Celsius® RMT Diagnostic and Ablation Catheter.

This new technology provides physicians with leading diagnostic, ablation, mapping, and steering technologies resulting in an ability to treat a broad range of with either routine or complex cases.

Tyler Cardiovascular Consultants at Trinity Mother Frances Health System in Tyler, Texas are among one of the top eight facilities in the country to use the 3-D Localized Ablation Catheter along with the Celsius® RMT Diagnostic and Ablation Catheter to treat cardiac arrhythmia.
