Seabrook




Texas is a state located in the southern and western regions of the United States of America. The state is second largest in both area and population behind Alaska and California, respectively. The state's name derives from a word in the Caddoan language of the Hasinai. Texas declared its independence from Mexico in 1836 and existed as the independent republic of Texas for nearly a decade. Texas is internationally known for its energy and aeronautics industries and for its ship channel at the port of Houston, the largest in the U.S. in international commerce and the sixth largest port in the world.

Seabrook is the most south eastern city of Harris county, Texas. The population was 9,443 at the 2000 census. Seabrook is well known among Houston metropolitan area residents for its fish markets on Waterfront Drive where resident shrimpers and fishermen bring in their catches daily. There are eight miles of continuous trails from Hammer Street to Galveston Bay at Pine Gully Park, where the lucky trails marathon is run in march. Seabrook is also host to the Texas Concours d'Elegance keels and wheels classic car and boat show held each year the first weekend in may at Lakewood Yacht club.
 
The lower Todville road area of Seabrook is directly across the channel that connects Clear Lake to Galveston Bay from the Kemah Boadwalk. The current mayor of Seabrook is Robin Riley. According to the U.S census bureau, the city has a total area of 55.7 kilometer. 14.8 kilometer square of it is land and 40.9 kilometer square is water. In the city the population was spread out with 23.9 percent under the age of 18, 9.3 percent from 18 to 24, 38.4 percent from 25 to 44, 22.8 percent from 45 to 64, and 5.7 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 106.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 105.1 males.

About the education Clear Lake high school pupils in Seabrook attend schools in Clear Creek Independent school district. All residents are zoned to Seabrook Intermediate School Seabrook and Clear Lake High School Houston. As the city is often regarded as among the most beautiful parts of U.S, it is one of the most visited places amongst the most die hard travelers the world over.
