Richardson

Texas is a state located in the Southern and Western regions of the United States of America. The state is second-largest in both area and population behind Alaska and California, respectively. The state's name derives from a word in the Caddoan language of the Hasinai. Texas declared its independence from Mexico in 1836 and existed as the independent Republic of Texas for nearly a decade. Texas is internationally known for its energy and aeronautics industries, and for its ship channel at the Port of Houston, the largest in the U.S. in international commerce and the sixth-largest port in the world.

The city of Richardson is located in North Central Texas, approximately 10 miles north of downtown Dallas. By 1940, the population stood at about 740 but after World War II, the City experienced a new surge in population. By 1950, the City boasted a population of approximately 1,300. The town was situated near the is now Richland College and consisted of a general store, a blacksmith shop and the Floyd Inn. The city of Richardson’s animal services and Shelter operates as a division of the Richardson Health Department.

Richardson is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in Texas worth paying a visit while touring the country. This place leaves a pleasing and unforgettable memory and justifies the proud cultural tradition of Texas.
