Angleton




Texas is a state located in the Southern and Western regions of the United States of America. The state is second-largest in both area and population behind Alaska and California, respectively. The state's name derives from a word in the Caddoan language of the Hasinai. Texas declared its independence from Mexico in 1836 and existed as the independent Republic of Texas for nearly a decade. Texas is internationally known for its energy and aeronautics industries, and for its ship channel at the Port of Houston, the largest in the U.S. in international commerce and the sixth-largest port in the world. 
 
Angleton is the county seat GR6 of Brazoria County in the U.S. state of Texas within the Houston Sugar Land-Baytown metropolitan area. As of the 2000 U.S. Census, the city population was 18,130. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 27.4 square kilometers.
 
In the city the population was spread out with 29.8 percent under the age of 18, 9.0 percent from 18 to 24, 30.3 percent from 25 to 44, 20.1 percent from 45 to 64, and 10.8 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 94.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.9 males.

It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
