Bayou Wildlife Park: The Jungle in Texas

The Bayou Wildlife Park is located in the city of Alvin, TX. When you visit it you will enjoy 80 acres of pure natural habitat that are available for the animals exposed in the park. During the tour a wildlife guide will be with you to explain many different things about the animals that live in the park. These animals were brought from places like: India, Asia, North and South America, Australia and of course Africa.

The park offers different access schedules that vary among the months. From March to August is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from August to February is open from 10 a.m. to 3: 30 p.m. For kids there are rides on pony available at anytime they want. The park remains open all the year except Mondays that is when the staff of the park realize special works or simply to maintenance; and is closed also on Christmas. The park also offers special facilities for people with physical problems (handicapped).

The head of this park, Clint Wolston, started the park as a private reserve, but then he made it public. In it you can find animals from all the corners of the world. Many of them run free in the installations of the park and new species are brought occasionally. Mr. Wolston says that you can learn more from the animals watching them in their natural environment than reading information in books or magazines.

If you are the kind of person that enjoys visiting zoos, this can be one of the most spectacular that you can visit. Do not miss the chance and come to the Bayou Wildlife Park.
