Sachse




Texas is a state located in the southern and western regions of the United States of America. The state is second largest in both area and population behind Alaska and California, respectively. The state's name derives from a word in the Caddoan language of the Hasinai. Texas declared its independence from Mexico in 1836 and existed as the independent Republic of Texas for nearly a decade. Texas is internationally known for its energy and aeronautics industries, and for its ship channel at the Port of Houston, the largest in the U.S. in international commerce and the sixth largest port in the world.

Sachse is a city in Dallas County and Collin County, Texas. As of 2004, the population was estimated to be 16,200. According to the United States census bureau, the city has a total area of 25.6 square kilometers of which 25.2 square kilometers is land and 0.4 square kilometers is water. Sachse was founded by William Sachse, a Prussian, immigrant, in the year 1845. Sachse is a home rule city, located within the north central Texas council of Governments. There were 3,224 households out of which 51.5 percent had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.3 percent were married couples living together, 7.1 percent had a female householder with no husband present and 14.8 percent were non families.

Sachse residents who lived in Dallas County were zoned to schools in Garland Independent school district and those living in Collin County were zoned to school in Wylie Independent school district. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and gain enthusiasm in its natural beauty and populace. The city has undergone some improvement in various fields and enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers.
