Kyle
Texas is a state located in the Southern and Western regions of the United States of America. The state is second-largest in both area and population behind Alaska and California, respectively. The state's name derives from a word in the Caddoan language of the Hasinai. Texas declared its independence from Mexico in 1836 and existed as the independent Republic of Texas for nearly a decade. Texas is internationally known for its energy and aeronautics industries, and for its ship channel at the Port of Houston, the largest in the U.S. in international commerce and the sixth-largest port in the world. Kyle is a city in Hays County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,314 at the 2000 census; it was 17,770 in the 2005 census estimate. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 15.5 square kilometers. 15.3 square meters of it is land and 0.2 square meters of it is water. The population density was 347.2 square kilometers. The City of Kyle is served by the Hays Consolidated Independent School District. Currently under construction is an 18 hole, double tee-box, disc golf course. John Houck, a two-time world champion, is personally laying out the course. Plum Creek criss-crosses the course and will challenge any level of player. The tee boxes will be constructed with pervious concrete. In Fact, this course will be the first course ever to use pervious concrete for tee boxes. Pets are allowed in the City of Kyle's Parks, Trails and Open Spaces with specific rules. As it is often regarded as among the most beautiful parts of Texas one of the most visited places amongst the most die-hard travelers the world over.
