Copperas Cove is a city in Coryell County, Texas, United States. The population was 29,592 at the 2000 census. It is located on the western edge of Fort Hood. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 36.1 square kilometers. The population density was 820.2 per square kilometers. There were 11,120 housing units at an average density of 308.2 per square kilometers.
