Azle
Texas is a state located in the Southern and Western regions of the United States of America. The state is second-largest in both area and population behind Alaska and California, respectively. The state's name derives from a word in the Caddoan language of the Hasinai. Texas declared its independence from Mexico in 1836 and existed as the independent Republic of Texas for nearly a decade. Texas is internationally known for its energy and aeronautics industries, and for its ship channel at the Port of Houston, the largest in the U.S. in international commerce and the sixth-largest port in the world.
Azle is a city spanning a diverse cross section of Tarrant and Parker Counties, Texas, in the United States. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 9,600. Popular tourist attractions include marine spectator sports at Eagle Mountain Lake. Azle is the home of the Azle Marching Green Pride marching band, The Emerald Dazzler Drill Team, the Azle High School Cheerleading team, and the Fighting Azle Hornets. In the city the population was spread out with 26.3 percent under the age of 18, 7.8 percent from 18 to 24, 29.3 percent from 25 to 44, 23.7 percent from 45 to 64, and 12.8 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 92.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.1 males. The City of Azle is served by the Azle Independent School District. The City of Azle is always in need of volunteers to fill openings on the various City boards and commissions. Azle is a master planned community with a Council and Boards dedicated to protecting the quality of life in the City. It is truly a full-service municipality committed to caring for the community and serving the citizens. Azle is a suburban community with a rural quality of life. Eagle Mountain Lake is the Eastern border, Cross Timbers Golf Course is in the newly annexed western portion of the city. Fort Worth is just down the highway and offers The Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge, museums, Bass Performance Hall, theatres, and malls.
As it is often regarded as among the most beautiful parts of Texas one of the most visited places amongst the most die-hard travelers the world over.
